Errant Golf Ball Policy
Bridges of Poplar Creek C.C. and Hoffman Estates Park District regrets any and all personal injuries or damage to personal property caused by golf balls alleged to have left the golf course property. Understandably, it is impossible to eliminate the risk of errant balls in so far as it is an inherent risk of the activity. Accordingly, the Hoffman Estates Park District and Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club assume no responsibility for any and all personal injuries or damage to personal property caused by errant golf balls. Please refer to the following district policy on all such incidents:
- All golfers accept responsibility for their actions while on the golf course property and are notified of such through signage that is displayed on the course.
- An individual alleging a loss is permitted to accompany an employee of the golf course onto the course/range in an attempt to locate the individual who may have hit the errant ball. If one fails to take this option, it should be understood that it will be nearly impossible to locate and identify the offender. Please note that it is NOT the employee’s responsibility to accuse anyone of hitting the ball.
- It is your responsibility to exchange phone numbers, insurance company information and other pertinent details that you feel are needed. The golf course staff is not responsible for determining its accuracy but will assist you in whatever way possible.

GOLF CART WAIVER INFORMATION AND RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS
Follow cart paths when possible & required.
Drive at a reasonable speed.
Do not drive on flat tires.
Keep out of ditches and gullies.
All cart drivers must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
By renting a golf cart with your green fee, the customer promises and agrees to return said golf cart immediately following the completion of the eighteen holes of play in as good condition as they received same, normal wear being expected.
The customer is responsible and agrees to pay for any and all damage that is sustained to the said golf cart, other than normal wear, while the same is in their possession.
WAIVER AND RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS
Please read and be aware in renting the above equipment for use by yourself or your minor child/ward, you will be waiving and releasing all claims for injuries you or your minor child/ward might sustain arising out of use of the above equipment.
The renter should inspect said equipment and acknowledge that upon receipt, it is in good working order with no defects nor abnormalities. The renter should recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury to persons utilizing the above equipment and agree to assume the full risk of any such injuries, damages, or loss regardless of severity which the renter or my minor child/ward may sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities connected with or associated with such equipment.
The renter agrees to waive and relinquish all claims the renter or my minor child/ward may have against the Hoffman Estates Park District and its officers, agents, servants, and employees as a result of participating in the use of the above equipment.
The renter does hereby release and discharge the Hoffman Estates Park District and its officers, agents, servants, and employees from any and all claims from injuries, including death, damage or loss which the renter or my minor child/ward may have or which may accrue to me or my minor child/ward on account of my participation or the participation of my child/ward in the use of the above equipment.
The renter further agrees to indemnify and hold all harmless and defend the Hoffman Estates Park District and its officers, agents, servants, and employees from any and all claims resulting from injuries, including death, damages and losses sustained by the renter or my minor child/ward or arising out of connected with, or in any way associated with the use of the above equipment.
In the event of any emergency, The renter authorizes the Hoffman Estates Park District officials to secure from any licensed hospital, physician, and or medical personnel, any treatment deemed necessary for the immediate care, and the renter agrees they will be responsible for payment of any and all medical services rendered.
BY RENTING A CART THE RENTER ACKNOWLEDGES AND FULLY UNDERSTANDS THE RENTAL AGREEMENT, WAIVER AND RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS AND PERMISSION TO SECURE TREATMENT.
